I've tried multiple different sources for the SSQ software (including Rutracker, which I understand is pretty reliable), and that hasn't fixed the problem either. I deleted all the SOLDIWORKS keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software running Regedit as admin, but unfortunately that didn't work either. I disactivatied the default windows AV in the hopes that that was preventing me from editing the registry, but that didn't work either. After disconnecting from the internet and successfully changing the series numbers using the activator as an admin, the activator software quotes "error 6" (access violation), but I've been unable to find any documentation related to this error. You can begin activation by hovering your cursor over the SOLIDWORKS logo at the top left of the screen. I've downloaded the SolidSquad Activator for Solidworks 2018. First, you will need to open the SOLIDWORKS application.
